Arcanum XIX of XXII
The Sun
The Sun is uncomplicated warmth. Direct, vital and easy to be near, this energy makes things visible and gives other people permission to be plain; overexposed, it needs the light turned on itself and grows restless when attention moves elsewhere.

Essence
The Sun is uncomplicated warmth. Masculine, fiery and Leo-ruled, it is the plainest energy in the sequence: it shows up, it is visible, and it makes other things visible simply by standing near them. It thinks in logic rather than atmosphere, and it acts — the charge is electric, outgoing, faintly impatient with deliberation.
Its register is material. It wants a life that can be seen and enjoyed rather than held privately in reserve. The cycle is a year: long enough to build something real, short enough to keep it restless. Where the Sun stands, people relax, and then, without quite noticing, they begin telling the truth.
In the portrait
In the outward self the Sun is unmistakable — the person a room orients around. In the inner, feeling self it is subtler and more anxious: a private need to be worth watching. As the inherited life lesson it asks that warmth be given without an audience, and on the tension line it marks where recognition has become the condition of effort.

An arcanum on its own is vocabulary. Draw your portrait to see where this energy sits in yours — then let Nataliia read the sentence it forms with the rest.
