Essence
Justice weighs. Libra governs her and air gives her the necessary distance: she steps back from a situation until both sides are visible, then measures. The concern is proportion — that effort be answered by result, and action by consequence — and she applies the same standard to herself as to everyone else.
Her mode is passive and her charge magnetic: she does not pursue, she assesses, and lets an accurate judgement do the work. The plane is spiritual and the method logic, so this is conscience reasoned rather than felt. Her interval is about six years, the time a decision takes to show its full consequence, which is the only timescale on which she agrees to be judged.

As the outward self, Justice reads as fairness and a certain reserve; people bring her their disputes. In the inner, feeling self the same scales are turned on the person holding them, and the portrait is more self-critical than it appears from outside.
